" Colours Of Expression : The Picture "

There are various factors that compelled me to title the above photograph as "Colours of Expression : The Picture". A first look at the picture will immediately bring to your mind the colour 'blue' only because of its significance in representing sadness & depicting sorrow. But a careful observation will reveal a lot more than what meets the eye.
The subject is positioned in the light while darkness surrounds her. Darkness is symbolic of lack of morals, ethics and principles in life, anger, jealousy, betrayal, lies, fakeness, corruption, narrow mindedness and a lot of similar things. The light represents the goodness within one's soul; the power to overcome the darkness and fight back for human rights and justice. The subject isn't sad about facing the darkness but instead is preparing herself mentally and physically to face the challenges that lie ahead. There is a very thin line between what is right and what is easy. The subject, very religiously believes in the power of meditation and self-enlightenment. Loneliness is a very prominent factor in this picture. The subject is isolated from the world for various reasons like difference of opinion and an unmatched attitude. The light is also a depiction of the aura emerging from the subject capable of empowering others and providing the confidence to overcome the darkness.
The only piece of jewelery adorned by the subject is a pair of gold earings that have been molded in the form of a 'Cross'. The Cross - a symbol of sacrifice and unconditional love; two important elements that possess the power to change millions of lives, eliminating hatred and self-love and thus making the world a much better place to live in. The Cross also symbolizes the subject's trust in Almighty God and one supreme power without whom no endeavor can be won. The Cross in gold shows the power of love and sacrifice and its supremity in comparison to other virtues.
Hence, the photograph is not just a picture, but its The Picture denoting various Colours of Human Expression.

  1. Thats good but speaking of colours they reflect a positive side too. White for example consists of the colours in a rainbow.... and red the colour i like most represents love and boldness.....
